How to Prepare:

  1. Open pouch at tear notch. Remove oxygen absorber from pouch and discard.
  2. Reseal pouch. Invert package and shake to distribute seasonings which may have settled to bottom of package.
  3. Expand bottom of pouch so package stands up on its own.
  4. Carefully pour 1¼ to 1¾ cups hot water directly into pouch. Cold water can be used if heated water is not an option.
  5. Stir thoroughly and close zipper. Let stand for 10-12 minutes adding an additional minute for every 1,000 feet of elevation gain above 5,000 feet. Rehydration times will vary depending on quantity and temperature of water.
  6. Stir again and serve. The top of the pouch can be cut or torn off to eat directly from the pouch.
  7. If cooking on stove, add water to pan, bring to boil, remove from heat, remove oxygen absorber and add pouch contents, stir, and cover for recommended time. Stir again and serve.
  8. Please respect the environment and discard your trash in an appropriate way.

This backpacking meal is like a typical red chili, with a tomato base, and a lot spicier than our Mountain Beef Stew.

I had nothing to eat at home so….I cooked up the latest and GREATEST of Paleo Meals to go!
This meal is just as great as the rest of their meals!!

Great tasting, packed with quality nutrients and very convenient!
I do a lot of traveling for Obstacle Course Racing and it’s hard to find quality meals at times. Paleo meals to go has been my go to for a quick, easy to prep meal when traveling loaded with the nutrients I need before an event!

We tried the meals and were really impressed. They are fantastic. We loved the copious (and large) chunks of meat! We were also impressed with how fresh and clean tasting they were and how they didn’t feel “heavy” or goopy like your typically freeze dried meals. My favourite was the chicken curry, but Naomi’s was the Beef Chili. All of them were delicious. — Paul O.

I’ve had this one hot or cold and it is good either way. It is super filling and it has all your macro needs. I also have one of these in my ruck.

I’m gluten intolerant and it’s always a chore to find filling, nutritious, and tasty backcountry meals unless I make them myself. The Bedrock Beef Chili (as well as the rest of the PaleoMealsToGo) more than fit that bill.
Very happy to have found these.

I rehydrate my meals with cold water and have been more than pleased with the results of the PaleoMealsToGo dinners. Even the meat comes out well, not weird or crunchy like other brands. You do have to soak the meals for several hours (generally about 3 depending on elevation), but I simply add water while I hike the last few miles of the day and dinner is ready as soon as I get to camp.

Hands down my favorite meal from Paleo Meals To Go! It’s absolutely incredible what amazing chili this is, especially when all you need to do is add hot water and (try hard) to wait ten minutes while it gets ready to eat. Just don’t forget to shake the bag before you add water, or like me, you’ll find the last couple of bites to be SPICY, lol!

This is one of my favorite backpacking meals that I have ever had. I am an avid outdoorsman, having healthy and delicious meals for an extended period of time is incredibly important. I survived for 3 weeks in the Alaskan wilderness on a variety of the PMTG entrées, breakfast, and snacks. This wasn’t a stereotypical chili. It had a unique and incredible flavor and I would honestly eat this regularly at home.

I bought the meals because Hurricane Irma was headed our way. Being new to these types of meals I was a bit doubtful, BUT, I was wrong. The meals are good and worth having on hand for Hurricane Season.
I bought one of each meal and thus far no complaints.

Thanks Dawn to making such a nice product.

All, writing a note to say I’ve almost exclusively converted to Paleo Meals to Go to supply my outdoor adventuring (backpacking, kayaking, canoeing) and here recently out on a solo winter camping/snowshoeing trip. “Almost exclusively” means I might take a few home brewed meals from time to time but will not use other commercially available backpacker style meals. Paleo Meals to Go fulfills my need for gluten free meals and I flat out just feel better than I ever have with other brands. Who needs an upset GI 20-miles into the back country? I also like how the calories are dispersed across the meals when outfitted with both breakfast and dinner entrees. Higher calories (~600) in the morning before a full day on the trail and lower calorie (~350) protein packed dinners for replenishment. Makes sense. My favorites dinners are the Mountain Beef Stew and Bedrock Beef Chili, I failed miserably trying to dehydrate my own chili so getting beef on the trail is a real luxury for me.
