I really enjoyed these. It’s like a paleo alternative to oatmeal. I actually ate them for dinner a couple times because they tasted so good. The coconut adds tons of fat (which is great) and that kept me from having a blood sugar crash. I also added a big dollop of rendered bacon grease to increase the calories.

We are planning some backpacking trips for the summer and fall of 2016. I’ve been online looking at food options. I ordered several of the meals from PaleoMealsToGo and they arrived yesterday! This morning I thoroughly enjoyed the Pineapple Mango breakfast cereal. It was very flavorful and statisfying! Thank you putting together a great breakfast meal!

A couple weeks ago in the High Sierra backcountry I had the Palisade Pineapple Mango for breakfast. I should say it was
more like a hot and rich dessert cobbler. I made it with 3/4 cup of boiling water and rehydrated for 17 minutes in a cozy for altitude.
I loved the mixture of sweet and tangy fruit, chunks of nuts and roasted coconut shavings a rich vanilla flavored filling. It was definitely a let down when I was scrapping the bottom of the pouch at the end.
Although the Palisade Pineapple Mango seemed more like a dessert, It had the dense calories to fuel me nicely for 7 hrs. of backpacking.
Another great option for future adventures!

640 calories of awesome. Lots of nuts which is great for an active person. A great breakfast go to that mixes up oatmeal. Maybe not a dinner choice but gives a great variety. Overall, a great freeze dried, gluten free, milk free, soy free, and grain free product. It is so hard to pick a favorite with so many options!!
